Wyoming
Wyoming is Forever West. The very mention of the word Wyoming
evokes the essence of the American West. Wyoming is all that innumerable
movies, novels and legends have tried to capture. This Western Spirit
thrives to this day in the Cowboy State.
A
world of mountains and ranches, rodeos and round-ups. Wyoming is
nicknamed "The Cowboy State" because for more than a century cattle
raising has been the main occupation. It still takes a rider on
horseback to herd cattle and in the cowboy towns most people wear
stetsons, blue jeans and boots, and stores have hitching posts for the
horses. Yellowstone, the world's first national park with it's famous
geysers, hot springs, mudpots, waterfalls and mountains has enthralled
travellers since 1872.
